Association Rules

NOTE – Please abide by the following Code of Practice:

1. Park in an orderly manner acceptable to other road users

2. Co-operate with Bailiffs and other association members

3. Be courteous and do not obstruct the path of fellow anglers

4. Keep river banks and pathways free of litter

5. Adhere to all other rules of the association

OMAGH ANGLERS ASSOCIATION RULES, CONSTITUTION & BYELAWS

Name: 1. The name of the Association shall be “THE OMAGH ANGLERS’ ASSOCIATION”

OBJECTS 2. The objects of the Association shall be:-

(a). To safeguard and protect the interests of the Anglers in the Omagh and Newtownstewart District..

(b). To conserve for the members all available Fishing Waters in the Omagh and Newtownstewart District.

(c). To Lease, and if necessary, Purchase for the Association all available Fishing Waters in the Omagh and Newtownstewart District.

(d). To arrange for erection and maintenance of suitable stiles on riverbanks, thus preventing damaget to farmers’ growing crops by straying livestock

(e). To improve Salmon and Trout Angling in the Omagh and Newtownstewart District by restocking local rivers if necessary and by Enhancement of Habitat.

(f). To promote Meetings of the Members of the Association.

(g). To maintain friendly relations and co-operate with Fisheries Authorities and other bodies interested in Preservation and Fishing, with a view to working harmoniously with such bodies and increasing their interest in fishing.

MANAGEMENT

3. The Association shall have a President. Chairman. Vice-Chairman. Honorary Secretary. Honorary Treasurer and a Committee of 12 Members of the Association. The Chairman Vice-Chairman. Honorary Secretary. Honorary Treasurer shall be ex-officio members of the Committee, which shall have the power by co-option to add to the number of its Members if required. 7 Members of the Committee shall form a Quorum. The Committee shall have the power to appoint Sub-Committees, which may be composed of Members of the Committee or Members of the Association, other than Members of the Committee as may be considered beneficial to the interests of the Association.
