Revetment and Re-habilitation Project Stage 1. Tree planting on the Camowen and Cloughfin Rivers.

Omagh Anglers Association in conjunction with the Loughs Agency and Woodland Trust have undertaken with permission of local landowners a tree planting initiative to assist with the re-habilitation of the local river banks and to also assist in preventing flood waters removing more of the river bank. This is stage one of the project. Further developments to follow soon.

Alders, Oak and willow sapling along with posts and shelters were provided by Seamus of the Loughs Agency and the Woodland Trust.

A team from Omagh Anglers and Seamus and members of his team alongside young Peter Cullinan (to keep us on our toes and to make sure the job was carried out correctly) planted the trees over a three day period.
